Depending on the mood I am in, I pretty much like all music. To me, music doesn't have to be perfect. I am probably one of the few people in America who has never watched, beyond flipping channels, American Idol. Music should be about emotion; joy, sadness, lust, humility, fear, anger, disgust, surprise, acceptance, wanting or whatever. Whether people's music is good or bad, they should be encouraged to play and sing whenever their heart feels like it. Music is about the soul and not about fame or fortune. Yeah, I say that because I will never see fame or fortune, so I pretty much have to settle for getting my rocks off sort of speak. A good parent, when a child is banging at a piano will NOT tell them they are no good and chase them away from the piano. A good parent will sit down and start to teach them the notes. The child will either be thrilled or will get up and say fuck this. Either way the parent will eventually stop the child from just banging on the piano. So anyway, I look at music like a good joke. It doesn't have to be the best joke ever told to bring a smile to my face. I have a pretty low bar when it comes to how I judge music. But still, I think some of of the songs and tunes and humor I link with will be good for your soul. Amateur Noise
